Giving Thanks For:

Open windows on a cool, quiet november afternoon.

The way the early morning sunlight slowly covers the open fields across from us. And then retreats just as slowly in the evenings. A reminder to slow down and enjoy this life.

Rainy days. The sounds of a light rainfall brings a sense of tranquility, a hard rain a sense of comfort. The smell of wet grass and cool air truly refreshes my soul.

Childish Imagination. To hear my son tell stories and watch my daughter gaze into the distance reminds me of those days when fairies were real, the world was a playground, and innosense was all that I knew.

The sweet, simple, for no reason at all, hugs and kisses.

Quiet afternoons and porch swings.

Barefeet on soft grass.

Soft pillows and warm blankets.

Lazy mornings. Waking up to sleepy faces with starry eyes and sweet smiles. Cuddles under the covers.

Friends that need me.

Friends that inspire me.

A warm bath and Norah Jones.

The moments when time seems to be at a standstill. The sound of nothing going on. The peace of mind that comes with having nothing to do.

The smell of dinner being served.

Everyday that I get to wake up to my beautiful children needing me in every way.

Every evening that my husband comes home.

Sister in laws that are more like sisters.

The opportunity to become a part of so many peoples lives, to be welcomed by them to share in their journey with them.

Knowing and understanding the gifts I have been given.
